Rise in craft beer popularity in the U.S (video in description)

It seems like in today’s day and age, most people have either tried some type of craft beer or already consume it regularly. To some people, craft beer is the only kind of beer/alcoholic beverage that they will drink because of the unique flavors that some of them have to offer. These interesting yet tasteful flavors have created a community unlike any other, one in which has grown in popularity in recent years. The craft beer community has seen a rise due in part to the blandness of the 1970’s in the United States. During this time period many foods and beers were criticized for their lack of flavors. Then during one of the worst economic periods in the country’s history a changed occurred, people found their fondness for flavorful beers. Due to the economic hardships people felt, many stopped buying “big ticket” items like homes or cars and instead geared their money towards the simple luxuries in life. A cheap craft beer offering a world of different types of flavors allowed for people to escape whatever financial troubles they had during this time in history, and instead let them enjoy both themselves but also the unique flavors found in craft beers.
More recently, with the boom of the digital age and the seemingly endless outreach of the internet, the craft beer industry is beginning to see a boom in the U.S market like they have never seem before in this industry. The internet has allowed small craft breweries to not only engage in direct talks with their consumers to gain feedback, but it has allowed for a boundless community of craft beer enthusiasts to engage in trades and talks. Now people from not only around the country, but around the world are able to trade different types of craft beers to experience all the industry has to offer and is a main reason for the increased popularity in recent years.
